More love for Ed Sharpe, weddings and general adorable-ness. (sent to me by frequent-reader Caleen— hi Caleen!) ~LP
So I think I’m going to give this a shot! I’m over buying rosemary, thyme, and sage every week and the grocery store and am ready for a little greenery/something living in my apartment. Has anyone done this? Do you have any pointers? -AI

Um, how awesome would this room be?! Ladies, there is a FIREPLACE in the middle of the bookshelves! All it needs is a huge, comfy couch and I’d be in heaven. Love, Nik
A lot of these ideas are pretty familiar, but still some very clever solutions I had never heard of! I actually just folded my fitted sheet into a messy roll tonight, so I could definitely use some tips on that. Not sure I have the patience, but I can at least give it a whirl!

Just found out that a good friend’s (Nate’s best man. Their joint bachelor party was actually held here) parent’s house just north of Milwaukee is on the cover of a new book about the The Architecture of Margaret McCurry. Cool! The house is totally rad and is indeed covered in aluminum siding and primary colors. It was their dream house and the kitchen is absolutely to-die for, with sweeping views of Lake Michigan.
What would your dream house look like, girls? Love, Nik
I would totally paint the accent color on the shelves a dark grey, but seriously - a bookshelf nook like this is totally going in my dream house! Love, Nik
Um, I am pretty sure these are the cutest whisks I have ever seen. I should probably add them to the Gift Guide, but I think I’m going to have to go out and get some for myself, stat. My kitchen could use a little cuteness! Love, Nik
This room really makes me want to live in a loft. To think of having those tall ceilings and all of that sunlight! Love, Nik
I’m adoring this tandem bike tea towel. I think it’ll make the perfect Christmas gift for a good friend of mine! Totally going to hit up Fab.com for holiday gifts this year. Love, Nik
PS: Maybe we should have a tab of fun holiday gift ideas?! Or, I suppose that’s pretty much what this whole blog is, eh? :)
I am not especially adept at DIY projects nor do I have any lamps with lampshades but I thought this was an interesting way to spice up some cheapo lampshades. Would be curious to see what it does to the light when the lamp is on? Love, Nik
I want some of these little wine-holder side tables in my house! Love, Nik
