So, let me tell you a little secret: I want to be this girl. Look how chic and put together she looks, just cruising around town! I plan to start this transformation by getting myself a nice, classic navy blazer. The question is - where does one procure one of these in the middle of summer? (Where in SF, by the way, it’s TOTALLY appropriate to wear long sleeves, unlike the rest of the country.) I know J.Crew is a good stand-by such classic pieces… any other thoughts? I’m new to the blazer game and would love any insights on where to look! Love, Nik

Lyst - a better way to shop

Amanda! We were just talking about wanting something kind of like this! Lyst is a site that kind of reminds me of ShopStyle, it allows you to shop clothes, shoes and accessories from multiple stores/brands all in one place. 

But the real kicker is that you can even link your Lyst and Pinterest accounts to receive sale alerts on items you’ve pinned, too! Genius!

Though, I was protecting my bank account by trying to rationalize that things I pin were too expensive. Being alerted of sales is going to be a slippery slope, I feel… gulp! Love, Nik

Stitch Fix

I think I had mentioned The Trunk Club on LWS before, which is a service for men where they can choose their style of clothing and get a bunch of different clothes and accessories delivered to try on and purchase if they like.

Well, we just met one of the new tenants in our office building who started Stitch Fix, and they are a similar service, but for women! I do love an excuse to go shopping in person, but this would be kind of like having a personal stylist. It’s tempting to give it a whirl! Love, Nik

Boden has always been sort of hit-or-miss for me, but I came home to find the catalog in my mailbox tonight and was drawn to a number of pieces. (Clearly, based on my mini-pinning spree tonight, hah!) I’ve always been a fan of stripes and Boden’s spring collection definitely has a number of stripey duds. I usually wear stripes with jeans or a cardigan, but I feel like I ought to step it up and get some bolder colors in there for springtime! Maybe a fun-colored skirt like the one above?! Hmm… Love, Nik

(I was even going to call mine “Crazy for Coral,” hah!) Like mint, I’ve been seeing this color everywhere lately and I can’t get enough. Also, I think this “I Love Pretty Things and Clever Words” print on Etsy sums up LWS girls quite nicely, don’t you think? Love, Nik
