Heyyyyyy girl. So, Ryan Gosling was even wooing the ladies back in 1991 with adorable renditions of “When a Man Loves a Woman” and some serious dance moves with his sister at a talent show. I mean, really. How cute are they?! Love, Nik

Happy Music Monday! Have you ladies heard this cover of “Skinny Love” by Birdy? (Sidenote: this British musician is all of… 16. Just in case that makes you feel incredibly old like it makes me, hah!)

This young pianist/singer has also covered some songs by The Xx (“Shelter”) and Phoenix (“1901”) if you want to check ‘em out. Love, Nik

Les Misérables is one of my favorite musicals and there’s been talk of going to see it again this summer. (Yay!) I’m also looking forward to the new movie adaptation. Curious to see how Anne Hathaway does as Cosette… what do you ladies think? Love, Nik

SNL Finale: Goodbye Kristen Wiig, Hello Lazy Sunday 2

I haven’t watched a live SNL in ages (despite what my recent posts may suggest) but I do watch some recaps online every once in a while. This past weekend packed a punch with Lazy Sunday 2 (love that throwback!) and I think I reached a new low when I totally cried along with Kristin Wiig during her SNL send-off. (What can I say, I can’t help myself when people are crying for real! Instant waterworks.)

It hasn’t been confirmed that Andy Samberg is gone for good, but rumors have it that, like Kristin, he won’t be on SNL anymore. If so, I’m going to miss those digital shorts! Some of them are pure gold. Love, Nik

SNL’s 100th Digital Short. Have you ladies seen this? The celebratory digital short packs a punch with tons of cameos and the requisite raunch. I especially love Samberg, JT, Natalie and Micheal Bolton, hah! Love, Nik

My news feed(s) have been full of reviews of Norah Jones’s new album “Little Broken Hearts.” Have you ladies listened to any of it yet? Here’s her first single, ‘Happy Pills.’ Thoughts? Love, Nik

I’ve been in go-mode these past few days and have been listening to chill tunes on repeat to maintain my sanity. Just discovered this new song from up-and-coming artist Amy Rose and I’m digging her vibe! Thoughts? Love, Nik

W.A.R.G.: Women Against Ryan Gosling

Woah, ladies, this is serious. Turns out there are a bunch of women who don’t like Ryan Gosling. Whaaaaa? Love, Nik

I thought this was a fun little stop-motion video about making “Fresh Guacamole” out of everyday objects. Love, Nik

There is something almost hypnotizing about this short film Vowels (by Temujin Doran), which is a ‘cinematic homage to the beauty of language and life.’ Thinking you SLP’s may enjoy it? Plus, I can’t resist glamourshots of SF! Love, Nik

Mad Men in a New York Minute

Not able to watch the return of Mad Men last night? Adweek put together a 1min compilation of the season opener if you can’t resist and need a snippet! Love, Nik

10 Ways to Relive the '90s Online

Goosebumps, Magic Eye, No Doubt, Geocities… c’mon, you can’t tell me you girls don’t get nostalgic over some of that stuff, right? Well, apparently we can all relive the glory of the 1990s online with these sites. Hah! Love it.

I’m personally saving the commercials, Tumblr and music video links to my RIL list for a good guilty pleasure session. Love, Nik
